Breaking the Mold: My Reflections on International Women’s Day
Happy International Women's Day!

As I sit here today reflecting on my journey, from my home base, Adelaide SA - to the global stages I'm working toward, and beyond I am reminded of one powerful truth: as women, we contain multitudes. We are never just one thing, and the world needs our diverse voices now more than ever.
My life has always been driven by a refusal to fit into a neat, expected box. As a human rights activist and a whistleblower, I have seen firsthand the uphill battles that must be fought for victims' rights and government accountability. That drive for justice is exactly what fuels me as a student of law. Armed with my Diploma of Management and my ongoing legal studies, I am deeply committed to pushing for a true Bill of Rights here in Australia. I wrote UGLY HEROS - The Price of Unlawful Enforcement because the truth matters—and as women, our courage to speak that truth is our most powerful weapon.
But fighting the good fight doesn’t mean you can’t be creative, fierce, and unapologetically yourself. I’ve always believed that you can be a "Rock Princess" blasting heavy metal and still be a force for legislative change. Whether I’m designing the next edgy collection for my fashion label, Barbwire Noose, utilising digital platforms, or gearing up for New York Fashion Week, my creativity is just another form of rebellion and empowerment.
It is this exact same energy that I am so proud to bring to the stage as a national finalist for Ms. Legacy International Australia 2026. I want to use this platform to show that pageantry isn't just about glamour; it’s about the legacy you build to lift others up and the advocacy you bring to the table.
To every woman reading this today: keep breaking the rules. Keep demanding accountability. Write your books, build your brands, pursue your education, and never let anyone tell you that your passions are contradictions. You can be the activist in the courtroom and the visionary on the runway.
Happy International Women’s Day.
Let's keep making noise.
